"A Little Taste"
A Little Taste

Oxman, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, has a good, soulful, bebop tenor style. The disc is likable, unapologetic moderm bebop. The players are stylists who don't outshine their influences, but they make music that is fun to listen to.
- Cadence, September, 1996

A 37-year old Denver native whose tenor sax sounds inspired by Bird, Coltrane and Sonny Stitt in equal measures. Oxman throws sheets-of-sound at you uptempo but then shapes ballads like "Stars Fell On Alabama" with economy and grace.
